embARC Summer Design Academy (10th and 11th grade)

Description

embARC is a four-week program held on the UC Berkeley campus. It offers rising high school juniors and seniors with an interest in architecture and design, the opportunity to:

• immerse themselves in design studio culture and the college experience 
• develop a design portfolio to use for college applications 
• work in a team with peers who have similar interests
• earn an official UC Berkeley transcript 

More info here. On-campus housing is offered, and a financial aid application is made available. Financial aid award amounts are based upon financial need, academic achievement (GPA of 3.0 or higher), and completion of the embARC program application and financial aid forms. In order to receive an application fee waiver, students must (1) start their application and (2) send an email to summer-institutes@berkeley.edu requesting the waiver BEFORE submitting the application. Please reference Ms. Sharaga’s name in that email.
